School stories

The characters of Shakespeare’s plays came to life thanks to a performance given by Savremena’s students. Romeo, Juliet, Hamlet, Ophelia, Othello, Iago, Desdemona, Puck, fairies and witches stepped on the stage of the “United Nations” elementary school on Thursday, 23 February, and left its students speechless.

Savremena’s students had been practising diligently for months in preparation for this play, which premiered in December at the fund-raising New Year’s celebration at the Cultural Centre “Vlada Divljan”. However, our talented students showed that the winter magic they created is still alive by performing the play at the elementary school.

They delighted their new friends from this elementary school in Belgrade with their acting and music talent and the fairy tale magic they had created themselves.

Hard work acknowledged by thunderous applause

Savremena’s students, despite the nerves and the excitement, did an excellent job on the stage and maintained the interest of the audience until the very end of the play, showing that the hard work they had put in their Performing Arts club paid off.

The school’s music band “SG Team” once again lit up the atmosphere with their great music, and the performance of the Music club, which had been diligently preparing the music pieces, couldn’t go unnoticed.

Our truly different students were proud of the thunderous applause they got and the smiles they put on the faces in the audience. After performing the play “A Midwinter Night’s Dream”, they took photos with the students from this elementary school, capturing the moments from this great event.

School that discovers and cherishes talent

Savremena International School makes all of its students’ dreams come true by helping them develop and continuously improve their skills.

The combination of formal education and discovering and cherishing hidden talents is what distinguishes accomplished people. This is why Savremena’s students, with the help of their teachers who recognise their abilities and direct their talents, participate in specially created clubs and versatile extra-curricular activities. This way, we enable all students to discover and develop their skills, and use them to their full potential.
