At this year’s “Misliša 2017“ mathematical contest, Savremena’s students displayed excellent knowledge and became part of the top 78 maths students in Serbia.
With this achievement, year 11 students, Ana Petrović, Tara Papić, Aleksandar Zaplatić, Nikoleta Đorović, Mina Vučićević and Nikola Orlić showed that their maths skills place them at the very top among their peers in Serbia. Their results have once again made their teachers proud.
Month of mathematical challenges
The contest held at Savremena on 9 March is a part of the “Misliša 2017“ competition, which this year includes as many as 3,794 students from 91 secondary schools in Serbia. At the competition which gathers students from elementary school 2nd graders to students finishing secondary school, the young mathematicians solved logical and combinatorial problems. This way, they showed that maths can be very interesting, and on account of their excellent results, Savremena’s students received praise from the Archimedes Mathematical Society that has been organising this competition for years.
Savremena’s students had another challenge in the previous month – they participated in the International Mathematical Kangaroo Contest, where they achieved notable results as well. We would like to congratulate our students on their results and we look forward to new celebrations which undoubtedly await us in the near future!
