International School Savremena’s students who attended the Cambridge programme received their diplomas at the formal ceremony held on 14 June at the Top of the Hub in Belgrade.
The end of their secondary education was filled with tears, smiles and praise for countless achievements. At the end of this chapter in their education, the students were joyous to be entering a new and exciting stage, the life of university students, yet slightly nostalgic to be leaving the warmth of Savremena.
Accolades and happy memories
The ceremony was marked by touching speeches given by Principal Svetlana Belić Malinić, the student of the class Marija Matejić and a mother who was grateful for all the help and openness of the school management and teachers while her son, Aleksandar Zaplatić, was attending the school. Surrounded by their families and teachers, the students watched a video that the school had prepared for the occasion, which encapsulated the spirit of friendships forged during their time at Savremena as well as the outstanding academic achievements.
“The time I spent at Savremena was academically challenging yet fulfilling and I wouldn’t change it for the world!” one of the graduates commented after the graduation ceremony. The crown of the ceremony was the moment when Savremena’s graduates symbolically threw their graduation caps in the air, marking the official ending of their secondary education, and enjoyed the party organised in their honour.
Future achievements of the graduates
All-encompassing and professional education at Savremena enabled the students to complete the required levels of the Cambridge International Programme and obtain two international Cambridge diplomas which are a gateway to prestigious universities around the world. Therefore, International School Savremena wishes the best of luck to all the graduates in all their future endeavours, positive that the education they received at Savremena enabled them to tackle any challenge along the way.
