School stories

When it comes to theatre, International School Savremena always tends to find interesting plays for its students, who are eager to attend. This time, the school found something truly different.

On 16 May, students of International School Savremena visited the Čukarica Cultural Centre where they attended the play Invitation to a Beheading, based on the novel written by the Russian-American author Vladimir Nabokov.

Provocative play as reality programme by Alexander Chervinsky

The provocative play written by Alexander Chervinsky and directed by Pavle Jerinić generated a large amount of interest among the students, as it is intended for those who think differently and question the society we live in.

The students were astonished by the concept of the play that made them ask themselves whether they are brave enough to speak their mind. Also, it made them think about the absurd and tragicomical elements of our society, and showed them where the struggle for power can lead them.

Savremena’s students were really inspired by the play and can’t wait for another contemporary work of art that will make them reflect on philosophical questions.
