School stories

Savremena International School students taking part in the drama club reprised their roles in the Forgive me, Catherine play on Wednesday the 30th of March, this time at the Lazar Savatić Primary School.

Filling the stage with charisma in front of a large audience

Even though the play is intended for students in their final two years of primary school, the audience included even younger viewers who came to watch and join the fun. The Hall at Lazar Savatić in Zemun was packed which required Savremena’s students to deliver their lines with more confidence and a bit more power in their voice.

Savremena’s students demonstrated once again that they feel at home on stage and their young audience loved the performance. This particular performance was especially important for Matej Trifković who took the stage at his very own primary school and performed in front of the students and teachers of his former school.

Another former student of the Lazar Savatić Primary School, Damjan Savanović supported his friends on stage as an audience member but also as a helping hand with the props and equipment. Anđela Despotović and Martin Ivanović were also kind enough to fill in for Jelisaveta Nedeljković and Stefan Glišović.

Talent support and development

Even though they are only in Year 9, Savremena’s students had the opportunity to reprise their first ever play and get a better sense of what performing on stage is like.

We are happy to give our students the opportunity to practice their acting skills and we are extremely proud and excited about their development thus far, as we eagerly await their next theatrical endeavor.
